We have had a busy week in the Slaley Hall Pro Shop with the new Titleist hardware range arriving. The new Hugo Boss clothing range will be arriving to store in the next few weeks. The Hugo Boss range is exceptional. You will see many of the leading tour players wearing their garments including Henrik Stenson and Major Champion Martin Kaymer.

How do you hit a draw? 

We get asked this a lot, probably because so many golfers struggle with a distance-robbing slice. A soft draw is a great shot to have at your disposal as it gives you a bit more distance. However, there’s a big difference between a soft draw and a hook – so here are a few tips for you. 

Try altering your set-up by aiming your feet and body right of your target line, whilst keeping your clubface aimed at the target. We want you to swing as normal; closing your body towards the target and taking your normal swing will mean your path is altered more naturally. Do this correctly and you should swing along your body line and right of target, which creates the desired draw shape.
