The Greenstaff are preparing the greens for the coming season by pencil coring and top dressing. This essential maintenance work will ensure the greens will be top notch for the season ahead. Pencil coring is less damaging than the full hollow coring that takes place at the end of the season so should not affect the putting surface as much. The Priestman greens are scheduled to have the same work the following week and should take two or three days to complete.
